Digoxin

Digoxin is used to treat irregular heart rhythms (arrhythmia) due to rapid contraction of the heart muscles. It can also be used to manage heart failure.

Digoxin works on the heart muscles to make them beat better. Digoxin blocks a protein (adenosine triphosphatase).

This would cause an imbalance between charged chemicals (ions) and increase the levels of calcium. Calcium helps muscles contract better. This helps improve your heart beat.
